Chloe snatched the zombie core and grabbed Emily and Molly, bolting away.Â
Without the second–level spirit–powered zombie’s summoning, the regular zombies scattered like headless flies, and things outside the supermarket calmed down a lot.Â
The three of them kept running, and any zombie they ran into was taken out with a single hit.Â
With Molly’s foresight and Emily’s spirit–powered sense, they moved through the zombie horde like fish inÂ
water.Â
They walked into a five–star hotel, the place looking fancy and glittering.Â
“Emily, can you sense if there are any zombies around?” Chloe asked.Â
Emily nodded, using her spirit–powered sense to check the area. “There are more than twenty regular zombies inside. Looks like they used to be hotel staff.”Â
“Same as always. You lead the way, and I’ll take out the zombies,” Chloe said.Â
Emily led the way, while Molly gripped her dagger, and whenever she got the chance, she’d dig out zombieÂ
cores.Â
Chloe took charge of wiping out the zombies.Â
It didn’t take long before the whole five–star hotel was theirs.Â
Emily let out a tsk, her face full of regret. “Such a pity. If only we could just haul the whole hotel away with us.”Â
Chloe flashed a sly grin. “We can’t take the hotel, but we can definitely grab everything inside.”Â
Her mind went to the furnishings, especially the five–star king–sized mattresses. Each one was custom. They weren’t the kind of thing available for retail sale.Â
The luxury mattresses and down comforters must be comfy.Â
“Huh? Chloe, is your spiritual space really big enough for all this?” Emily asked, sounding skeptical.Â
Emily couldn’t help but think, ‘With that little space, after cramming in all the stuff from the college dorm and all those supplies, there’s gotta be barely any space left.’Â
“Maybe we should just stick to collecting food?” Emily suggested.Â
Chloe flashed a sly grin. “Relax, my spiritual space is huge. I could fit a hundred more of these hotels in there and still have room to spare.”Â
Chloe glanced around the fancy five–star hotel. “It’s a shame Frank’s busy souping up the vehicles right now. Otherwise, we could’ve moved everyone in here and really upgraded our living situation.”Â

Chapter 96Â
They headed straight for the kitchen. Thanks to the cold weather, most of the food was still good. But the veggies had been ruined by the freeze.Â
They dumped everything into Chloe’s spiritual space in one go, and then headed up to the top floor.Â
The top floor was the hotel’s buffet restaurant. A dozen or so zombies still shuffled between the tables, and chunks of what was left of their meals were scattered across the floor.Â
Guess when the apocalypse broke out, the zombies went to town on anyone left inside.Â
The buffet restaurant was huge, packed with every kind of breakfast you could think ofÂ
But every single thing was frozen stiff, not a single bite left fresh.Â
After everything Chloe had been through in her previous life, she wouldn’t let even a single cookie go to waste, let alone a whole buffet full of food.Â
And with all the different kinds of food here, there was no way she was leaving any of it behind.Â
Even if everything was frozen solid, as long as they heated it up, it would still taste great.Â
Chloe just scooped up everything and stuffed it all into her spiritual space.Â
Molly followed behind, jaw dropped in disbelief.Â
‘Man, Chloe’s spiritual space is insane! I’ve gotta latch onto her and never let go, Molly thought to herself.Â
“Boss, uh, I mean Chloe, these are the zombie cores I just dug up,” Molly said, stumbling over her words.Â
She opened up her backpack, showing off more than twenty zombie cores inside, and handed them over to Chloe happily.Â
Chloe didn’t even glance at the zombie cores Molly handed over. Instead, she tossed the spirit zombie core she was holding straight to Emily.Â
“You two head into the room and go absorb the energy in those cores. I’ll keep searching the hotel for anything useful,” Chloe said.Â
She grabbed a room key from the front desk, opened up a door, and let Emily and Molly inside so they could absorb the cores and get stronger.Â
This run wasn’t just about grabbing supplies. The real reason was to help these two power up as quickly as possible.Â
Especially Molly. She hadn’t even become a first–level powered human yet.Â
The two of them nodded earnestly, not hesitating at all, so Chloe then started going room by room, collectin everything she could get her hands on.Â
She picked every room clean.Â

Bottled water, electric kettles, disposable slippers, closet hangers, and of course, the real prize: the beds.Â
By the time they left, the only thing they didn’t take was the central air conditioning unit.Â
Before long, the whole hotel was completely cleaned out.Â
Chloe grinned, totally satisfied.Â
With two badass support teammates by her side, life in the apocalypse was going to be smooth sailing fromÂ
now on.Â
By lunchtime, Chloe swung open the door and found that both Emily and Molly had alre absorbing the cores.Â
dÂ
Emily had leveled up to mid–second level in one go, while Molly had finally awakened as a true first–level powered human.Â
When Chloe walked in, both of them had eyes practically sparkling with excitement as they looked at her.Â
“Congrats on leveling up,” Chloe said.Â
Both of them were grinning from ear to ear.Â
“Chloe, what did you score this time?” Molly asked, swinging her backpack onto her shoulder.Â
Chloe plopped herself down on the bed, stretching out with a blissful sigh.Â
“Obviously, I looted every last thing in sight,” she bragged.Â
As she spoke, Chloe whipped out three steaming bowls of handmade noodles from her spiritual space, and the three of them feasted together, laughing and savoring every bite.Â
Emily was practically buzzing with excitement, her new power making her ready for action.Â
“Chloe, what’s our next loot spot?” Emily asked, itching to get started.Â
Chloe didn’t even hesitate. “Gas station.”Â
Now that they had the RV, keeping it warm around the clock would burn through a lot of gas.Â
They needed to move quickly and stock up before everything froze solid.Â
Emily suggested, “Getting gas isn’t something we can just do right away. Let’s wait until Frank finishes upgrading the RV. Then we can figure it out.”Â
Molly suddenly spoke up, “Chloe, I know there’s a snack street in one of the alleys nearby. Why don’t we go try our luck there?”Â
Following Molly’s directions, they arrived at the entrance to the food street.Â

Chapter 96Â
Everyone’s eyes popped wide open.Â
“Holy crap, run!” Chloe yelled.Â
A massive horde of zombies swarmed in, their grayish eyes spinning with madness, chunks of rotten flesh dropping off their faces as they went wild at the sight of human flesh.Â
84Â
But since they hadn’t tasted human flesh in ages, the zombies were all pretty feeble and sluggish. So the trio shook them off in no time.Â
Emily panted, teasing, “Molly, your prediction skills aren’t exactly one hundred percent reliable, huh?”Â
Molly blushed. “I–I can only predict stuff that’s really dangerous.”Â
Since she didn’t predict anything this time, it meant there weren’t any powerful enen around.Â
Chloe gave Molly a gentle smile. “Don’t worry. You’re already doing awesome.”Â
lly threatsÂ
As she spoke, Chloe handed Molly a knife. “You might have foresight and not be much of a fighter, but you’ve still gotta learn to protect yourself. At the very least, be brave enough to take out a zombie.”Â
Molly nodded.Â
From then on, any zombie that was extra weak from not having had human meat, Molly got dibs on handling them herself.Â
Before they realized it, they’d wandered into a totally unfamiliar area, and every shop around was closed up tight.Â
Peeking through the glass doors, they could see the shelves inside still crammed with all sorts of stuff.Â
The apocalypse had hit so fast that everyone here had turned into zombies. No survivors had even tried to scavenge this place yet.Â
“Look, Chloe! It’s a baby formula shop. There’s formula milk and a bunch of kids‘ toys in there!” Molly pointed out excitedly.Â
If they could bring all this back, her little brother would never have to worry about food again.Â
Chloe pulled out a pair of bolt cutters and snapped the lock off with a single, powerful motion.Â
Inside the baby formula shop, there were piles of kids‘ clothes, every brand of baby formula you could think of, stacks of diapers, and shelves packed with toys.Â
