Chapter 207Â
Princess Rivena POVÂ
Moon TempleÂ
NightfallÂ
I wasn’t supposed to feel like this. Not yet. Not ever, maybe. I slammed open the door to the Moon Temple, my breath hitching as silver light poured through the enchanted skylight above the altar. The marble floor shimmered, casting moonlight shadows across my bare arms as I staggered inside.Â
“Why now?” I choked, my voice echoing too loud in the still air. “I barely know who I am and you’re already throwing a fated mate at me? Are you fucking kidding?”Â
Tears threatened, stinging the backs of my eyes. I wiped at them angrily. I didn’t cry. I fought. I endured. I didn’t break.Â
Fated mates were rare enough for lycans. Half of us died never meeting them. The other half were matched with warriors, battle born equals.Â
And mine? My supposed fated match?Â
Just a regular wolf. A very hot, absurdly strong, alpha blooded warrior, sure….but still. Not a lycan. Not like me.Â
I dropped to my knees in front of the altar, hands braced against the cool stone. “Please,” I whispered, voice cracking. “Why would you bond me to someone who could never understand what I am?”Â
The air shifted. The shadows rippled. And then, I felt the presence. Silver mist coiled through the temple like a living breath, curling around the columns, brushing over my skin like velvet laced with static. I looked up, and there she was.Â
The Moon Goddess. I gasped out loud. Holy hell. The Moon Goddess was standing in front of me.Â
Hair like falling starlight. Eyes of endless dusk. Power that wrapped around me like a mother’s arms and a warrior’s blade all in one.Â
“My child,” she said softly. “You will need strength and support. And I have already chosen both for you.”Â
The temple doors creaked again, and there he was. Druen.Â
He stepped into the moonlight, his golden eyes wide, his chest rising and falling like he’d run through fire to get here. His presence crashed into me, flooding my senses. That mate pull? It wasn’t easing. It was getting stronger. Hotter. Hungrier.Â
The goddess extended her glowing fingers, touching his forehead with a whisper. “Druen Fenrath. You are of older blood than you know. Lycan blood. Hidden, and waiting for this exact moment.”Â
The moment she spoke the words, moonlight exploded.Â
Druen roared, yes, roared, as silver white magic wrapped around his body. His spine arched, his bones cracked, and with a flash of light and a howl that split the heavens, he transformed.Â
Not into a four legged wolf. Into a full fucking lycan. Massive. Muscular. Towering. A beast of shadow and moonlight.Â
I stumbled backward in pure shock. “No… no way…”Â

The goddess turned to me. “And you, Rivena. Accept what you are.”Â
She touched my chest, and I burned. My body lit up with silver fire as power surged through me. I screamed as my skin rippled and my bones shifted. Then suddenly I was standing tall, on two clawed feet my obsidian furred lycan form towering in the light.Â
What. The actual. Fuck. “Rivena?” A voice in my mind. Deep, steady, protective. Druen. Mind linking. Holy shit.Â
Before I could respond, my lycan Nyzari purred softly in my soul. “We are whole now, moonborn. We are not alone.”Â
Druen’s eyes widened, and he dropped to one knee like the breath had been stolen from his lungs.Â
“I hear her. I… I have one too. His name is Varrin. He says… he’s missed you, Nyzari.”Â
My knees gave out and I hit the floor beside him, both of us trembling under the weight of what just happened. What had always been meant to be. The Moon Goddess smiled gently. “You are not here to understand fate. You are here to shape it. Oh and daughter, you have two more mates. Non lycan. Be ready.”Â
And then, she vanished, silver mist curling away into starlight. My jaw dropped. “What the actual fuck!? Two more mates!?”Â
Druen just shrugged. As long as you’re mine, I can share.”Â
