Ji’lahni POV:
“How are you feeling today, Miss Nelson? The doctor asked, as I sat in the chair by the hospital window. Although he still wants me on bed rest I managed to beg and pleaded with him to let me sit in the recliner for an hour. He said yes but Hunter had to carry me to and from because my balance was still way off, and he didn’t want me to reinjure my arm or fall and bump my head again which could kill me. So, I reluctantly agreed. Hunter was really handsome, smart, and funny. We had gotten to know each other these past few days since Makahi decided he didn’t want to see or visit me anymore. I heard from the nurse that he calls damn near every hour asking if I was ok. To say he feels nothing for me, his actions said otherwise. But I’m not in the business of forcing anyone to choose me despite the ache in my heart and the anger I feel every time I think of him and Summer together.
For some reason she makes sure someone just so happen to have seen her and Makahi together and feels the need to tell me how happy they are. I roll my eyes every time one of her goons brings Razz to visit. he comes to see me every day, and he whimpers every time he has to leave. I swear the smartest little pup I have ever seen not like I have seen any but I’m sure he’s the smartest none the less. turning back to the doc. “Yes, I’m feeling a lot better. Will feel even better if you released me today.” I said hopeful. Smiling “I got your CT and your x–rays back and everything is healing nicely, you still have a way to go before you’re back to normal. But I don’t see why you can’t be released today permitted that you continue bedrest and redress your arm three times a day.” The doctor said. “You got a deal doc. Although Hunter has been redressing my arm, I suppose my cousins can do it if a nurse shows them.” I said excitedly.
Just then Hunter comes in all smiles. “Did I just hear that you’re getting sprung today?” He asked? And I squealed but quickly stopped because that shit hurt my head. Although I can talk normally with no headaches or searing pain, me and loud noises still weren’t friends. Calming down. “Yes, you did hear that right and you’re right on time I want to surprise my cousins before they can come here.” I said excitedly. “Anything for your sweetness and don’t worry about your arm ill continue to redress it for you every day.” He said sincerely. “No. You don’t have to do that. You have been settled with me these last few days I’m sure you can’t wait to get back to your life and your women friends.” I smiled at him. “Hey, are you trying to get rid of me. Are you tired of me already?” He asked holding his heart like I was about to break it if I said yes. “I course I’m not tired of you.” I blushed.
“Well, it’s settled sweet cheeks you’re stuck with me.” He smiled scooping me up out of the chair. These men around here sure do make us big girls feel light as a feather. A girl could get use to this. I smiled to myself. The doctor gave me my antibiotics and pain med as well as a lot of first aid bandages gauze and tape for my arm. I’m on strict bedrest. Only sit for meals and a couple hours a day Hunter insisted that he would make sure I follow the rules. I got dressed as fast as I could. It was dinner time, and my cousins would be here right after to spend hours with me until the nurses kicks them out. Hunter carried me to the golf cart, and it felt like a dream, like I had really been in prison. The sun was a bit bright, but Hunter thought of everything and gave me his shades.
