Chapter 202
I stood in the large dining hall of our housr, adjusting the white flowers in the center of the long table. I had worked for hours to make everything perfect.
I didn’t want room for any mistakes because I just wanted everything to be perfect the way I envisioned it. I wanted a family dinner. I wanted the people who had shaped my life to be the way it
is now to sit together and eat, laugh, and breathe the same air.
“You’re over–thinking the forks again, Faith.”
I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my waist. I leaned back into Astor’s chest, closing my eyes for a second. He smelled like the forest after a rainstorm–clean, strong, and safe.
“I just want everything to be right, Astor,” I
whispered, turning around in his arms. I smoothed the front of his soft black sweater. “Everyone is coming. My parents, Ma and Pa, Alice… even Ovelia.”
Astor kissed the tip of my nose. ” everything is already right. Look around, Faith. The pack is happy. The kids are happy. And everyone is okay. That is all anyone ever wanted.”
He helped me set the final plates. It was sweet to see a man who could lead an army, carefully placing napkins on the table just to make me smile. We were a team in everything now, from ruling two packs to making sure there were enough chairs for dinner.
Everyday he shows me just how much he has changed and how much he loves me and I’m proud
of how far we’ve come.
Out guests began to arrive as the sun fell.
The first to walk through the door were my mother and father. I haven’t seen them in a while now because they have been so busy rebuilding the Eclipse Pack.
My mother hugged me so tight I could barely breathe, I wasn’t on board at first but it felt really nice so I hugged her back with the same energy. my father shook Astor’s hand with a look of deep
respect.
“The Eclipse is rising again, Faith,” my father said, his eyes shining. “But it wouldn’t have happened without your support.”
Then came Ma and Pa. They brought the smell of home with them, by that I mean the food because ma is just convinced I can never do anything right when it comes to cooking so she volunteered to do the cooking and she did some of it at their house.

Chapter 202,
Pa gave me a playful wink. I love this man with everybody in my body because when he has to be serious he will be the most serious person in the world and when he has to be playful he will just make you smile.
Chase and Kimberly arrived next, laughing and holding hands. They had been my rocks when I was at my lowest, and seeing them so happy made my heart swell.
Then, the door opened for Alice and Liam.
Alice looked glowing. She wasn’t the jealous girl who wanted my life anymore. She was the woman who had found her own. She walked straight to me and pulled me into a hug.
“You look beautiful, sister,” she whispered.
“So do you, Alice,” I said, and I meant it.
The room went a little quiet when the last guest arrived. Ovelia stepped inside. She looked nervous, her hands clutching a small shawl.
She hadn’t been in the Pack since her exile began but me and the kids have been to her house a couple of times so much that I can say that me and her have definitely changed the course of our relationship.
She looked at the faces in the room and she lowered her head in a humble bow but she honestly didn’t have to do that because the fact that she was exiled away from our pack doesn’t take away the effect that she is my children’s grandmother.
I walked over to her and I didn’t wait for her to speak. I took her hand and led her to the table.
“Welcome home for the evening, Ovelia,” I said.
She looked at me with tears in her eyes. “Thank you, Faith. Truly.”
We sat down to eat. The table was a beautiful mess of voices. My parents were talking to Ma and Pa about the best way to plant mountain crops. Chase was telling Marco stories and Isabella was showing Kimberly how she could make the candles flicker with her mind.
I sat at the head of the table, with Astor on my right. I looked at the faces around me. These were the people who had seen me at my weakest. They had seen me run. They had seen me cry. And they had seen me become the White Wolf.
Astor stood up, holding his glass of wine. The room went silent. He looked at everyone, his gaze finally landing on me. His eyes were full of a love that was so deep it felt like an ocean.
“I want to thank you all for being here,” Astor said. His voice was steady and strong. “We have been through a lot of darkness. There were times when I thought this family would never be whole

again. There were times when I made mistakes that almost cost me everything.”
He looked directly at me, and his voice dropped to a whisper that everyone could still hear.

“I spent months lost in the Alpha’s regret,” he said. “I remember the cold nights when I realized I had pushed away the only light I ever needed. I remember the desperation of begging for my Luna back, praying to the moon goddes that I hadn’t destroyed the bond we shared.”
He reached out and took my hand, squeezing it tight.
“But Faith… you were stronger than my mistakes. You brought me back to life. You brought this pack back to life. Today, I am not just an Alpha, and you are not just a Luna. We are a family. And that is the greatest victory of all.”
The room erupted into cheers. I felt tears of pure joy running down my face. I looked at my children, who were laughing and clapping. I looked at my sister, who was smiling at me. I looked at Ovelia, who was nodding in agreement.
“To Faith and Astor “Liam shouted, raising his glass.
“to the best kind of people I’ve ever met” my father added.
After dinner, the kids went to bed, and the guests began to leave, promising to visit again soon. The house went quiet again, but it was a happy quiet.
Astor and I walked out onto the balcony one last time. The moon was a perfect crescent in the sky, watching over us.
“Are you happy?” he asked, pulling me against him.
“I’m more than happy,” I said. “I’m at peace. I don’t feel like I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop anymore. I don’t feel like a girl who has to prove she is enough.”
“You are more than enough,” he said. “You are everything.”
I thought about the journey. I thought about the pain of the past and the beauty of the present. I realized that the “regret” Astor felt wasn’t a bad thing–it was the thing that had taught him how to truly love me. And my “running” wasn’t a bad thing–it was the thing that taught me how to truly
lead.
The darkness was gone. The scars were there, but they were just lines in a story that had a beautiful ending.
“I love you, Astor,” I whispered.
“I love you more” he answered.

We stood there in the moonlight, two packs, one family, and a love that would last for an eternity.
If there’s one thing that I’ve learned throughout my relationship with Astor is that there is no love without pain, there is no happy love. The fairytale is the things that you go through in order to have your happily ever after.
We both made mistakes but we made them right.
