When you and I were together, you took me a few times to different places but not really since then.”
“Would you be open to getting a few dishes to share? That way you can try a few things to see what you like now?”
“Sure.” She nodded and pointed to one item, “I do remember I liked the lamb souvlaki. Can we get this?”
“Yes. We can get that. It’s one of my favorites.”

“This is nice,” she admitted looking around happily.
“Come,” he rose from the table and held his hand out.
“Come where?”
“Dance with me.”
“Dance with you?” She looked around in alarm, “Gulliver, nobody else is dancing.”
“There is music. There is space,” he motioned to a small spot in front of the stage where the band was set up, “and our meal was just ordered and it’s going to take some time. Come.” He wiggled his fingers, “you know you want to.”
“No. I don’t. Everyone will stare.”
“Baby, they’re already staring because you are beautiful in that dress. It was made to dance in. Come on,” he egged her on.
She reluctantly took his hand and let him lead her to the tiny dance floor and he pulled her into his arms and spun her around. She was helpless to respond to his wide smile as he danced her around the small space. She giggled as he twirled her outward and pulled her back to his chest. She couldn’t help but laugh aloud when multiple people applauded their dancing 3/5

when the music stopped before the next song, started,
He didn’t let her return to her seat as he kept her dancing,
“How are your feet moving like that?” she asked chortling with the way he was moving as if he had no cares in the world.
“The trick is to pretend someone is shooting at your feet,” he confessed in her car and when she slapped at him he laughed loudly. “My mother taught the three of us to dance growing up. She insisted. She made sure we knew her culture growing up. I want to do the same with Kaylee and our future children.”
She stumbled at the words and then shook her head as he smiled unrepentantly at his flirting.
“Terrible for teasing me.”
“Who’s teasing?” he pulled her into his arms and held her to his chest, slowing their steps to the more ballad–like tempo the music changed to. “Wait until my mother gets here. She’ll have the three kids dancing circles around us in days.”
She wasn’t sure where it came from, but she blurted out, “Kaylee said she wants a baby sister.”
Gulliver smiled down at her as he swayed her in his arms, “I heard her. I was listening to the entire conversation from the bathroom where I was getting ready. You’re good with her. It 4/5

“Thank you Gulliver.” She blushed under the heat of his compliment, and he leaned down to kiss the tip of her nose.
“Shall we go sip some more wine and wait for dinner? We can entertain the patrons again with more fancy footwork after we eat if you’re still feeling up to it.”
“Sounds good.”
She was smiling as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder, kissed the top of her head, and escorted her back to their table. He pulled her chair out for her and when she sat, he leaned over and pressed a lingering kiss to the curve of her neck.
“Thank you for dancing with me,” he nuzzled her ear as he stood hovering behind her, his hands warm on her shoulder. “It felt good, right even, to have you back in my arms. We didn’t dance enough eight years ago. I will make up for it now.”
