No one had ever said Jessica and Chris were a good match before. Maybe it was because people noticed Jessica’s attitude toward Chris, or perhaps they knew there was someone else in her heart. Saying they were a match right in front of Jessica would definitely make her unhappy.
But recently, Chris and Jessica had often appeared together in the trending news.
Today, Michael brought Jordan over because he had seen the recent trending topics. Both of them were
seen at the entrance of the Cosmos, coming in and out together. The paparazzi seemed to have been
waiting there for a long time.
When the words “a good match” appeared in relation to the two of them, Michael felt like he was already out of the game.
Why Chris?
Chris was never the person Jessica loved the most. Why did Chris get to stand beside her?
Why was this New Year being spent by Chris and Jessica together?

Chris.

turn back, he should have killed Chris. He felt that he should have stabbed Chris’s vital organs.
Chris couldn’t be allowed to live, nor could Linda.
Absolutely no one was allowed to take an important place in Jessica’s heart.
“Since Chris’s home, I think I should leave. Jordan, say goodbye to Jessica.”
Jordan still didn’t change the way she addressed Jessica, still calling her “Mommy.” Chris didn’t want to
make things difficult for a child and just stood beside Jessica, smiling to say goodbye. But Jordan rolled
her eyes at him.
The gifts on the floor were very high–end. Jessica glanced at it and kicked it to the door. She said to Chris, “In a few days Francesca is going to send gifts to Wind Pharmaceuticals. Let Francesca take these with her. I really don’t want to eat anything Michael gives me.”

The tides had turned – in the past, Jessica always spoke harshly to Chris, but never once to Michael.
Chris hugged Jessica and returned to the living room. Both of them rarely took breaks from work but today they chose the most popular film to watch together.
“Did you see the look Jordan and Michael gave each other just now?” Jessica stuffed a strawberry into her mouth, glancing at Chris out of the corner of her eye. “That was the first time Michael chose not to
hide his thoughts. He wants to kill you.”
Even Jessica could see it clearly, let alone Chris.
He wasn’t afraid at all. “If he’s really got the guts, let him try. By the way, I heard you gave something to Helen the other day? Speaking of which, Helen is Jordan’s biological mother. Why isn’t Jordan close to
her at all?”
“I heard from Shannon that Helen was in the final stage of her pregnancy when the Jills family was about to go bankrupt. Michael’s relationship with Helen had already fallen apart. Actually, I can
understand Michael’s views on Helen.”
Helen’s existence was a humiliation to Michael.
The marriage with Helen, even Jordan’s birth, represented that Michael could never control his own fate. The Jills family was another power player showing dominance over Michael. So Michael never loved
Helen, and even resented her.
Since Jordan’s birth, the Jills family had completely gone bankrupt. The death of Helen’s parents devastated her, and she didn’t even properly recover after giving birth. She was only busy fighting with
Michael and trying to snatch the client list from Aitairy.
Helen was a bit foolish and weak, but she would never give in – it was in her nature.
