“This is your home too, so you can make all the decisions, but as for holding meetings…” Jessica yawned
and rubbed the corner of her eye.
“I think the meeting environment is still very important. The Wilder Group has a conference hall that it
rent out, and it’s available tomorrow. I’ll ask Shannon to arrange a smaller room for you. You can hold the meeting at the Wilder Group, and maybe we can have lunch together?”
That was fine as well.
Being able to find time to meet within the day was already satisfying.
Jessica then went to the study to look at some documents.
Chris tidied up the things on the sofa and was about to turn off the TV when a sudden face on the screen
made him freeze.
He didn’t like the house to be too quiet – it was a habbit left from the previous five years.
He liked things lively, liked hearing people around.
Working with the TV on didn’t disturb his thoughts.
The face suddenly appearing on the TV was Michael’s.
Michael had actually returned to the country?
“Yes, this time my return does not represent the Hall family, but Aitairy. There may be many prejudices
against this company, but since I’m standing here, it means I’m a law–abiding citizen. People shouldn’t
look at me with biased eyes.”
Chris was rendered speechless.
He didn’t know how Michael managed to say those words so grandly. Even someone as emotionally
stable as Chris almost rolled his eyes.
The matter with Aitairy was almost fully understood from Roy and Jessica’s mouths.
There was no chance for Michael to defend himself.
Chris instinctively looked toward Jessica’s room.
Sure enough, the next moment, reporters asked Michael about his love life.
“My love life?” Michael teased, smiling at the camera, staring through the cold, merciless lens, seemingly seeing someone.
“Everyone knows I’ve had a failed marriage and now have a child. I also had a childhood sweetheart, but
