Indya’s first impression of Blake, however, wasn’t very good.
After going upstairs, Maggie was already waiting by the elevator door and handed over the files to Indya, but before she could mention the meeting arrangements, Indya mumbled, “Is Jessica sure about this guy? He’s a man, but he looks prettier than a woman.”
Maggie sized up Indya’s displeased expression and thought it was probably her competitive spirit flaring

Maggie said, “You’re usually too busy to watch TV or films, but Blake is a super star in the entertainment industry. Let alone our newly established entertainment department, even FN has tried for years to sign
him but failed. Just think about that.”
Given FN’s status in the entertainment industry, if they wanted someone, they wouldn’t need to go
through such complicated detours.
That they had tried for years without success showed that Blake was a tough nut to crack.
By accident, Jessica had managed to sign him.
That was lucky.

Chris started preparing for surgery at the hospital at six in the morning and only left the operating room at five in the evening.
Other departments were still working hard.
Francesca and several members of the board stood at the door waiting for news.
Finn Scholfield hurried over when he saw Chris. “It’s been so long, how’s the surgery going?”
They had also watched from the observation room on the second floor of the Operating room, and the situation was tense. Everyone waited anxiously.

Francesca handed Chris water and a clean warm towel.
Chris wiped his face, though sweat soaked his whole body, the breeze still made him feel a chill.
Finn glanced inside the room, “I haven’t seen Ashley come out. Does Orthopedics need to stay the whole
time?”
“Yes.”
The surgery was expected to last over 20 hours.
Ashley led all the main orthopedic surgeons and would stay until the end, while Chris led the surgeons from other departments who had done their job to come out of the operating room first.
He reassured the board members.
“Raising the success rate to 45% is already very difficult. It can’t get any higher. We still have to see the postoperative recovery. I know what you’re worried about. Where are the family members?”
The family members were waiting nearby for the news.
It was said the patient’s mother fainted from excessive tension and had been sent to the ward to rest.
Now the father and older brother were waiting.
After thinking for a moment, Chris walked over and said, “There are still a few hours left. All medical staff are working hard, please don’t be overly anxious.”
After comforting the family members, Chris left the operating room entrance together with Francesca.
The patient’s father asked another doctor who hadn’t left yet. “I’ve seen that doctor several times before. Is he the attending doctor?”
The doctor adjusted his glasses. “He’s the chief neurosurgeon and also the chairman of the Summit Infirmary. His skills are excellent. Please rest assured.”
Seeing Chris’s somewhat pale face, Francesca quickly took him back to a room and brought over some glucose water that had been prepared earlier.
“Ms. Wilder asked me to prepare this for you.”
Chris looked at the drink and smiled.
The glucose dissolved in the water could help restore energy.
Jessica had been busy lately and had no time to deal with these small matters.
