“No need for that,” Jessica said with some hesitation. “What if Indya doesn’t like Blake?”
“We still have to try. I don’t think Blake is the kind to take advantage of others‘ misfortune. He definitely won’t do anything under the chaos.”
Chris only had two hours, so after staying at the banquet with Jessica for a while, he left in a hurry.
The banquet ended before 11 o’clock.
Indya originally wanted to call a designated driver, but Jessica whispered a few words to Shannon, whose eyes showed complicated feelings, but she still followed Jessica’s instructions.
“Sam, it’s hard to get a designated driver here. You guys give Indya a lift back. We don’t have enough cars here to give her a lift.”
Sam glanced sideways at a few designated drivers waiting nearby, calmed himself, and agreed.
At first, Indya drank a bit too fast and was now a little dizzy.
Shannon helped her into Blake’s car.
“You…” Indya frowned when she saw Blake in her car and pointed at him.
“Why are you in my car?”
Blake found Indya’s drunken state amusing.
He crossed his hands in front of him and said, “I’m waiting for you to give me a lift home. Aren’t you my
agent?”
Indya paused for a few seconds, seeming not to grasp the meaning behind Blake’s words.
After a moment, she shook her head and said, “No, I drank, so I can’t drive. I asked someone to-”
Before she could finish, the car door slammed shut outside.
Sam got into the passenger seat and ordered the driver to start driving toward Indya’s house first.
In the car, Indya’s phone slipped from her pocket, and the screen flashed the name “Anthony.”
Blake slightly frowned and reached out to answer it, but Indya was quicker and turned the phone off.

Blake had good hearing and heard Shannon say at the banquet that this man was Indya’s ex–boyfriend.
Blake was determined to win Indya over.
Blake and Sam sent Indya home, and only after confirming she was alone did they get back into the car.
“You haven’t made a move yet, but Ms. Wilder has already created an opportunity for you. Indya’s in a bad mood today, so she’s drunk after a couple of drinks. Ex–boyfriends really are a hurdle. I think she still
has feelings for Anthony.”
Sam looked back at Blake.
“You’re not seriously going to try to win her over, are you?”
Blake didn’t respond at first, but then slowly lifted his head to look at Sam, his eyes filled with
determination.
“Why not?”
After all, what hadn’t he snatched for himself over the years?
Endorsements, films–everything required him to fight for it, or else he wouldn’t have gotten this far.
Fighting for what he wanted had become Blake’s habit.
Especially when it came to a woman.
There was only one woman Blake liked, and he had to win her over.
Early the next morning, news indeed broke about Blake sending Indya home, and it was published by the
Hurricane Media.
Jessica hadn’t even woken up when her phone kept ringing non–stop.
She unlocked it and saw that it was Jaden.
Jaden was already sitting in the office on the other end of the line and said jokingly, “Why do you want me to report such a small matter?”
