“I don’t know. I called Indya, but there was no answer. Her assistant went to her house to check and said no one was there,” said Shannon with a troubled expression, constantly frowning.
“Indya definitely drank too much last night. Could she have gone out in the middle of the night?”
Where could someone who was drunk go?
Blake and Sam had definitely sent her home safely.
Why would Indya go out?
Jessica thought for a long time before Chris said, “During the event yesterday, I saw Indya’s phone kept ringing. It was probably her ex–boyfriend. Shannon, how much do you know about this man?”

“Anthony isn’t from Impelia. He came to Impelia to work with Indya years ago. He went abroad earlier on and just returned this year with the Montvue Tower project team. He doesn’t have a fixed residence in Impelia, probably staying at a hotel.”
The project team’s hotel was naturally a high–end hotel.
Montvue Tower was located in a remote area, and the best nearby hotel was only a three–star hotel, which certainly didn’t meet their living standards.
Putting it all together, it was most likely they were staying in the city.

Shannon was smart.
Since they couldn’t reach Indya, and she was missing work, Shannon guessed it must have something to do with Anthony.
She sighed and said she understood.
“Blake is here,” Shannon said to Jessica before leaving.
Jessica, sitting beside Chris, paused.
The office door closed again, and Jessica’s shoulders sagged as she leaned against Chris shoulder.
Why did they have to sign Blake?
This person hadn’t created any value for the Wilder Group yet, but he already had such big demands.
He immediately set his sights on one of the company’s most valuable executives.
Jessica was a bit speechless.
“Is what they say about Blake from earlier years true?” asked Chris.
He had asked Francesca to investigate Blake.
They said Blake had experienced forced relationships back then, which definitely happened—not just an
attempt.
Jessica nodded. “It’s true, but Blake is a man after all. Such things didn’t affect him much. Plus, after all
these years, Blake’s position in the entertainment industry had gradually stabilized. No one could use
that against him.”
She thought Chris was worried about Blake’s future.
But Chris shook his head and said, “No, I’m thinking… Blake likes Indya, but what about Indya? Setting aside her ex–boyfriend still bothering her, even if that weren’t the case, would Indya completely ignore Blake’s past?”
“I’m worried too.”
The room was quiet for just a few minutes when knocking came from outside the door.
Sam’s calm voice sounded. “Ms. Wilder.”
Jessica sighed again. “Come in.”
Sam opened the door for Blake and stepped aside to make way for the latter.
