‘He is going to regret that half a bottle of whiskey he drank in the morning. Shane laughs as he helps me haul Robbie’s passed–out body onto the bed that’s in one of my spare rooms. After Robbie told me this his mate is in the children’s group he passed out before I could even respond to him so I hauled his ass over my shoulder and made my way back to my floor in the pack house but of course, as with everything else in life, it couldn’t go nice and easy and allow me to get him back without anyone seeing, no. 

Instead, Shane found us before we’d even made it halfway across the outside training grounds. He’d been heading out for a run while Lily was taking a bath and of course, he bumped into us. After he had gotten over his fear that something was wrong with Robbie, his curiosity set in and he began questioning me with more skill than a well–experienced FBI accent. 

I tried to fob him off the best I could, I did but he knew I was lying after the very first question and I found myself out of excuses and out of reasons to hide it from him any longer. Yes, it’s Robbie’s business and his thing to tell but Shane loves Robbie like I do and I know he only wants to help so I caved and told him that I’d tell him after he had helped me to get Robbie’s drunk ass into bed. Of course, I had no problem doing it myself but if he’s going to get this information out of me then the ass can at least earn it. 

“Yep, too right he is. Hopefully, it’ll teach him not to do it again.” I know the situation is serious but looking down at Robbie’s drunk ass makes it hard not to laugh alongside Shane. “Yeah, he’s gonna suffer like a bitch tomorrow,” I say as I throw a blanket over him. Shane removed his shoes when we brought him in here but the rest of his clothes can stay on him. 

As we quietly make our way out of the bedroom Shane’s eyes glaze over with a link while I get greeted with my beautiful mate as worry covers her entire face. “He’s ok, sweetheart. Just had a bit too much to drink. You don’t mind him staying here, do you? I’d like to keep a check on him to make sure he isn’t sick in the night. He’s never been this drunk before, not that Shane or I know of anyway.” 

“Of course, I don’t mind. I’ll help you keep a check on him. I don’t like seeing him like that but I get it. He’s struggling and doesn’t know what to do but when he wakes up well make sure that he knows that we are all here for him and will help him with whatever he needs.” Her words have me instantly beaming with pride. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have assumed that’s what we would do. It’s your decision as Alpha to decide what happens, not mine.” Oh, this girl of mine is so wrong. 

I take a step closer to her, cup her cheek and lightly stroke her chin with my thumb “You may not officially be my Luna yet, but to me, you are in every way that counts and while I may get the final say in most situations, that doesn’t mean that I don’t want to hear your input or advice. I want to hear your opinions and thoughts on stuff. If you have something you want to say or any advice you’d like to give I always want to hear it. You already act like a Luna and I love every second of it.” 

I lean in and give her a gentle kiss and fuck, if Shane wasn’t here right now, we’d already be heading to the bedroom for round two but once again, I’m getting cock blocked by one of my brothers. Bastards! 

‘Everything ok?” I ask Shane as I notice him lingering close by. He’s finished with his link but also still trying to give us some privacy which I appreciate. “Yes, that was just Lily checking in. I said I would be back by now but she understands why I’m not.” 

“Will you two be a while talking?” Bonnie asks and as always it makes me smile. When she first got here she would barely say a word and wouldn’t dream of interrupting anyone’s conversation but slowly she has been coming out of her shell and growing her confidence and I fucking love it.
